Dear Friends
Thank you for your prayers, your love and your encouragement. God heard you and He had lifted up my spirit. Words cannot describe my gratitude and joy to be out of the valley of the shadow of death. As I reflect upon that week of depression, I learn a few lessons.
Christian – Captive-free?
I was trapped. I mulled over all kinds of negative thoughts. I worried about many things. I wondered where God is. I asked God why. I was paralysed with fear. My spirit was down. My body felt lethargic. Even hubby noticed I looked lifeless. What’s worse? I didn’t know I was deceived. You know, I’m so thankful God didn’t give up on me. I was reminded that although I’ve known the Lord for many years, I can still fall prey to the lies of the evil one. The only way to break out of the vicious cycle is to bring it to light. When I shared my need for prayer, I knew that I would no longer be in bondage.
Facts = Feelings?
Regardless of how I feel, God is ALWAYS with me. It was wonderful and amazing to see how the Lord worked. He assured me of His providence. He showed me His love. He protected me. He gave me rest. In spite of all my doubts and questions, He remained faithful. I am reminded that the Word stands no matter what. Thank God for His precious Word.
Evil = Eternal?
When I asked God why He made us, God told me He is purposeful in ALL that He does (Psalm 8). When He created the earth and all that’s in it, He took six days. Since He’s God, He could take just a minute, an hour or even a day to create everything; why six days? Perhaps He took time to enjoy. Perhaps He took time to pour out His love. We may not know but He has a purpose for EVERYTHING.
When I asked God about the illnesses, cancer, pain and tears, God shared how He felt
God is a just judge, And God is angry with the wicked every day. – Psalm 7:11
We may not be aware but He IS dealing with evil. I’m thankful that God empathises with me. How about you? Do you know this God who feels your hurt and sees your tears? Do you know the Father who longs to hold you in His arms and comfort you? Do you know Jesus who lives and will give you life eternal right this minute where you are?
If you would like to know Jesus, allow me the privilege to say this prayer with you
“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. |
Have you said the prayer? Can you feel the earth shake? Can you hear the thunderous applause? Can you see the jubilant cheering? We rejoice with you!!! We embrace you!!! We welcome you – to the family!!!
Luke 15:10
There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Have you said the prayer? Tell a friend. Tell me. I want to celebrate with you.
Love
